Privacy Policy
Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]
OutplayMe is a mobile app where people take on real-world challenges, record a video of their attempt, and let the community judge it. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the app and this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible
The app is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [COUNTRY] ("OutplayMe", "we"). For any privacy question or request, write to hello@outplayme.app.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address or your Sign in with Apple identifier, the username and display name you choose, your country, and an optional profile photo.
- Date of birth. Asked once when you create a profile, to confirm you are old enough to use the app. It is never shown to other users.
- Videos you post. The runs you record and submit, including the picture and sound they contain, and the challenges you create.
- Activity. Your votes, reactions, comments, follows, blocks and reports, and which runs you have watched (kept for up to 90 days to count views fairly).
- Device token for notifications. If you allow notifications, a token that lets us send them to your device, and your notification preferences.
- Technical data. Standard server logs such as IP address, time of request and app version, used to keep the service secure and working.
The app uses your camera and microphone only while you record a run. We do not read your photo library, contacts or location.
How we use it
- To run the service: create your account, publish your runs, show leaderboards and profiles.
- To verify runs and keep competition fair, including review by moderators.
- To keep the community safe: handle reports, enforce our Terms of Use, prevent abuse.
- To send the notifications you have allowed.
- To fix problems and protect the service.
We do not sell your personal data, we do not show third-party advertising, and the app contains no advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
What other users can see
Your username, display name, country, profile photo, verified runs, comments and position on leaderboards are public inside the app. Runs that are still in review are visible only to you and our moderators. Your email, date of birth and reports you file are never shown to other users.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase — database, sign-in and server functions. Data is stored in the United States.
- Bunny (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia) — video storage, processing and delivery.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and delivery of push notifications.
These providers act on our instructions. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and fair, and with your consent where we ask for it (for example notifications). You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or in your device settings.
How long we keep it
- Account data and your content: until you delete them or delete your account.
- Watch history used for view counts: up to 90 days.
- Reports and moderation records: as long as needed to protect the community and meet legal obligations.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, runs, votes and comments. Challenges you created stay available under a "deleted user" name so other people's runs on them are not lost. If you cannot access the app, email us and we will delete the account for you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, and ask for your data in a portable format. Write to hello@outplayme.app. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
OutplayMe is not for children under 13. We ask for a date of birth and do not create accounts for anyone younger. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
